The intent of this lesson is to develop your awareness and understanding of what it takes to become a valuable and successful preceptor! With the looming nursing shortage near, it is imperative that we develop an exceptional preceptor program in order to retain new nurses. So where do we start? At the beginning of course! The main focus of this lesson is to develop an understanding of the preceptor's role, the staff nurse, and yourself!

What is an EDUBLOG you may ask? The answer is quite simple: An Electronic Bulletin Board.
As you all know, we have bulletin boards with lots of information posted in each department's conference room. However, unless you track down someone on the management team, your questions or concerns may remain unanswered.
Now, you will have a way to ask questions, provide feedback, discover valuable resources, and much more at your convenience. The purpose of this EDUBLOG is to support and provide you with resources you need to provide service excellence to our patients.
